Four candidates will contest the Carholme Ward by-election on City of Lincoln Council next month.
The by-election on Thursday, October 19 was triggered by the resignation of Karen Lee, who ousted Conservative Karl McCartney to become the city’s MP in June.
Lucinda Preston, Labour’s candidate for Carholme by-election
Former Lincolnshire Police and Crime Commissioner candidate Lucinda Preston will be seeking to retain the seat for the Labour Party.
Conservative candidate Kateryna Salvador
She will be challenged by Kateryna R Salvador for the Conservative Party, who stood unsuccessfully in the same ward in this year’s Lincolnshire County Council elections.
Liberal Democrat candidate James Brown
James Brown will be standing for the Liberal Democrats and Ben Loryman will once again represent the Green Party.
Green Party candidate Ben Loryman
Labour currently has overall control of the council with 25 out of 33 councillors, excluding Karen Lee.
The Conservatives have six councillors and there is one Independent.
