Man dies after being hit by car at roadside near Lincoln

The victim was struck by a passing Vauxhall Astra.

Lincolnshire Police are investigating the death of 26 year-old local man on the B1188 between Canwick and Branston on Saturday night.

The incident happened at around 9pm on September 9, when the victim — part of a group who were near a layby on the road — was struck by a passing Vauxhall Astra.

A 25 year-old local man, who is not the driver of the car, is in custody assisting police with the investigation.

Any witnesses who have not already spoken to officers at the scene are asked to call 101, quoting incident number 449 of September 9.
