Two cyclists remain seriously injured after A15 crash between Lincoln and Sleaford

The driver was arrested.

Two cyclists in their 50s remain seriously injured in the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham after a crash with a car on the A15 between Lincoln and Sleaford.

The cyclists were part of a large organised bike ride travelling to Sleaford when they were involved in a crash with a Volkswagen Scirocco near Ashby De La Launde at 2.25am on Sunday, September 10.

Police arrested the driver on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop.

The driver has been released under investigation.

The cyclists seriously injured are men from Essex and Hertfordshire.

Any witnesses who have not already spoken with officers are asked to call 101, quoting incident number 54 of September 10.
