Five men have been arrested on suspicion of theft after a ram raid at a McColls newsagents in Crowle, North Lincolnshire.

A JCB digger is believed to have been used to pull the ATM out from the wall of the McColls newsagents on High Street at around 3.45am on Friday, November 3.

A white Mercedes car and a white Ford Transit van with its roof missing were also believed to be involved in the incident.

The van was later found burned out.

The road was closed for some hours while investigations got underway and recovery of the vehicles took place.

Humberside Police are appealing for information in relation to the incident. Anyone with information is being asked to call 101 quoting log 59 of November 3.
