Person hospitalised after crash which closed A16 for two hours

Emergency services were scrambled to the scene.

A person has been taken to hospital in Grimsby following a crash on the A16 earlier this morning.

The incident happened on the A16 at Grainsby at 8.55am on Monday, November 13.

Two cars were involved in the collision between Grimsby and Louth.

The road was closed for two hours between North Thoresby and Tetney.

A spokesperson for East Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We received 8.55am to an incident on the A16 between Louth and Grimsby.

“The caller reported a road traffic collision involving two cars.

“We sent a paramedic responder, a paramedic in a Fast Response Vehicle and a double crewed ambulance.

“One patient was taken to Diana Princess of Wales Hospital for further care.”
