RAF100 is the theme which will be running through activities taking place in and around the city and across the wider county, which is famously known as Bomber County.

Lincoln BIG has commissioned a series of 100 stories and these will be incorporated into a new trail around both the city and county.

To be involved, members fo the public are asked to either call 07518 328127 or send an email to [email protected] to express their interest.

Lincoln BIG Chief Executive Matt Corrigan said: “2018 promises to be another exciting year. We have commissioned a series of 100 stories that will be used as the theme for a trail being created around the city and county.

“Our researchers, based at the University of Lincoln, want to hear about interesting stories relating to local families and their connection to the RAF, in any period from 1918 to the present day.

“They may have photographs or other memorabilia that they’d like to share and their stories can be about anyone from an aircraft factory worker to a firefighter, air crew, ground crew, a WAAF, publican or farmer or some other workers.

“It really doesn’t matter, they simply need to have that connection to the RAF in Lincolnshire.”

Residents have until November 23 to indicate their interest.
