Burst water main leaves Washingborough residents without water

Homes have no water.

Residents in Washingborough have been left with no water or low pressure after a nearby water main burst.

Anglian Water issued a warning at around 7am on Friday, December 15 that water pressure in Washingborough homes would be low or have no water at all.

Workers are currently trying to fix the issue, with a hope that water returns to homes at around 1pm today.

A spokesperson for Anglian Water said: “We’re really sorry but some customers in Washingborough may have very low water pressure or no water at all.

“We’ve got a burst main in your area that we’re working hard to get fixed, so that we can get your supply back to normal as soon as possible.

“This should be by 1pm today.

“When the water is back it may look a little cloudy or discoloured, just run your tap for a couple of minutes and it should clear.”

The burst main has also cause a number of local transport services to be disrupted.
