Residents from all across the county head to the village to buy their trees from there each year, with the company also selling to people from as far away as Cornwall and Wales.

Farm manager George Overton told Lincolnshire Reporter: “It’s a 1,000 hectare arable farm that has traditional woodland as well as the Christmas trees.

We have been busy cutting nordman fir again this morning, you don’t get much fresher or more local than this!

“We have around 15 members of staff employed and they’re headed by the main staff.

“Christmas trees require a lot of logistics, we have to cut the required trees in the shortest amount of time possible to ensure they are fresh for our customers.

“A two metre tree takes around six to seven years to grow and the job is a balancing act where we have to monitor the stock and the demand.

“I think they have great character, and the best bit about Christmas trees is that they’re all slightly different.

“We have seen a steady rise in the purchase of Christmas trees over the last five years and this could be down to more promotion on our social media channels.”
