One of the most highly rated vintage tea rooms in Lincoln has been put up for sale.
Bunty’s Tea Room on Steep Hill is on the market with the leasehold at £90,000.
It’s been serving traditional cakes, scones, light bites and “thirst aid” from a grade II listed building for five years and has earned a third place restaurant rating on review website Trip Advisor.
Owners Jenny Lock and Matt Felgate told The Lincolnite that after “an amazing five years” at the helm of the business, they are moving on to a new chapter and are starting a family.
Jenny said the decision to sell the award-winning tea room was made with mixed emotions. “It’s always been us, from the start with staff in as support so it’s all or nothing. If we were to step away we don’t feel like it’d get the attention it deserves and would rather hand over the reigns to someone fully focused.”
Bunty’s is being listed with Banks Long & Co.
