Ram raiders abandon stolen tractor after failed Hykeham ATM theft

Thieves attempted to rip out a petrol station ATM machine with a stolen tractor this weekend, sparking a police witness appeal.

Police believe the offence happened at around 3.20am on Saturday, December 16 at the Jet petrol station on Newark Road, South Hykeham.

The ram raiders failed to make off with anything from the station.

A dark coloured saloon car is also believed to have been involved.

Nothing was taken during the attempted theft and Lincolnshire Police have so far made no arrests.

Officers are continuing their investigation, including checking CCTV cameras and taking forensic examinations.
