‘The atmosphere makes it’: Visitors’ verdict on Lincoln Christmas Market

With the Lincoln Christmas Market well underway, businesses, residents and newcomers to the market gave thoughts on the annual event.

The Lincolnite took to the Lincoln Christmas Market on Friday, December 8, with many visitors explaining how the market brings ‘great atmosphere’ to the city.

Running from December 7 to December 10, the Christmas market is one of Lincoln’s biggest annual events and is currently in its 35th year.

Claire Taylor, co-owner of Top to Bottom Accessories on Steep Hill told The Lincolnite: “The Lincoln Christmas Market is great for our business.

“It brings new people into Lincoln, which hopefully they will come back, possibly in the summer.

“I love the market, I love the atmosphere and I love all the visitors.”

Nick Ridout, co-owner of The Whisky Shop on Bailgate added: “The market is absolutely massive for us.

“People are coming from all over the country to visit Lincoln Christmas Market.”
