Liam Toner: Inquest to open after teen found dead on grass verge following night out in Cleethorpes

He sadly passed away.

An inquest will open into the death of a 19-year-old man found dead by the side of the road after a night out in Cleethorpes.

Liam Toner from Ulceby was reported missing following a night out on Friday, December 15.

He was found 23 hours later on a grass verge off Louth Road in Holton Le Clay, where a taxi had reportedly dropped him off.

Coroner Paul Smith will open the inquest at Lincoln Coroner’s Court on January 30.

Zoe Pricefram-Taylor, a friend of Liam’s family, set up a JustGiving Page to raise money for his funeral.

She said: “Liam was eventually found by his grandmother, he had passed away on the verge where his taxi had dropped him off.

“Liam was a very happy hard working 19-year-old boy, he was out enjoying his Christmas work night out.”

Superintendent Dave Houchin, from Humberside Police, previously said: “Initial indications are that this is sadly a tragic incident in which a young man has passed away.”
