New Lincoln cycling event set to attract 1,000 riders

New event for the Lincoln cycling calendar.

Organisers of the Lincoln Half Marathon have teamed up with Doddington Hall and Giant Lincoln to launch a brand new non-competitive cycling event for 2018.

The Giant Lincoln Sportive will take place from Giant at Doddington Hall on June 3.

There will be around 1,000 spaces available for riders of all abilities covering three different routes (click for interactive maps):

Entries are now open with prices from £32.

The 100 mile route.

All riders will start and finish at Doddington Hall and complete their chosen route on a marked and safe course. They will get a medal and a t-shirt at the finish line.

The event will also help to raise money for local charities and good causes.

The sportive is one of a number of new events on the OSB 2018 calendar, combined to create the Lincoln Triple Challenge.

One Step Beyond said: “We are aiming to attract 1,000 riders, over the three separate distances (approx. 30 miles, 50 miles & 100 miles) with an anticipated 60% coming from Lincolnshire.

“This event, will be our second event of three based in Lincoln in 2018. The first being the Lincoln Sprint Triathlon on April 29 from David Lloyd Club, Burton Waters.

“The third event will be the Lincoln Half Marathon, making up ‘The 2018 Lincoln Triple Challenge’ – further details will be available shortly.”
