Conservatives hold Boston Borough Council seat in by-election

Second conservative win in a night.

Conservatives held the Old Leake and Wrangle ward in a Boston Borough Council by-election on February 22.

Thomas Ashton was elected councillor with 536 votes and held the seat for the party.

Meanwhile, Labour’s Joseph Pearson received 123 votes, there were 50 votes for Donald Ransome from UKIP, and Richard Thornalley from Blue Revolution received 13 votes.

The overall turnout was 26.6%.

The by-election was called after Conservative councillor Maureen Dennis resigned from the council after 15 years.
