Councillors to debate plans for over 1,000 homes in Witham St Hughs

Plans will be discussed today.

Councillors will today discuss plans for 1,100 new properties and 150 care home units to be built in Witham St Hughs.

The planning committee meeting at North Kesteven District Council on Tuesday, February 6, will make an initial decision on the proposals for the homes to the east of Camp Road.

Plans, submitted by Strawson Holdings Ltd, form phase three of extension of works in Witham St Hughs, as part of the Central Lincolnshire Local Plan.

Proposals for the site include 1,100 homes and 150 care/retirement homes, with 2,500 parking spaces.

A number of the houses on the development would be classed as affordable, however the proportion included is what councillors are discussing today.

Plans also include the formation of a roundabout to Camp Road, A46 junction improvement works and public open spaces.

It has been recommended that the plans are approved by the planning committee at North Kesteven District Council.
