Man charged with string of Grimsby thefts

Police believe there may be more victims.

Humberside Police have arrested and charged a 37-year-old man with eight offences following multiple thefts in the Laceby area near Grimsby.

Daniel Charnock of Corporation Road in Grimsby will appear at Grimsby Magistrates’ Court on Monday, February 19 for the offences he has been charged with, police said.

Charnock was questioned by police and later charged with eight offences including theft of a motor vehicle, attempted theft of a motor vehicle, several counts of theft, driving without a licence and possession of an offensive weapon.

Officers investigating these offences believe there may be further victims.

Humberside Police are appealing for residents of the Laceby area and surrounding to check their vehicles and outside buildings such as sheds and garages.
