Lincoln Central Railway station has submitted plans to build a new Costa Coffee as part of a £2 million pound refurbishment of their facilities.

If the plans go ahead it will be the seventh Costa Coffee in the city, with others at St Marks, the High Street, the Odeon, the University Library, Valentine Retail Park and the Carlton Centre.

The plans also indicate an intention to build a new Travelines unit, a convenience store chain which sells newspapers, confectionary and tobacco.

The submitted blueprints show the full extent of the refurbishment.

Alongside the new retail experience, the £2 million pounds will go towards a new passenger waiting room, new toilet facilities, restoration of the Grade II listed features and a new microbrewery.
