Police treating Sleaford gang assault as hate crime

Th man was allegedly set upon by a group in a pub car park.

Lincolnshire Police are treating an reported assault in Sleaford as a hate crime.

The incident is said to have happened in the early hours of Sunday morning in the car park behind the Bull and Dog pub off Southgate in Sleaford.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “We were called to a report at 00.55am that a man had been assaulted by a large group of men outside a commercial premises on Southgate, Sleaford. The victim was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

“This is currently being investigated as a hate crime, as there were racially aggravated factors.

“If anyone saw anything, can they please call 101 quoting incident 30 of February 18.”
