Three arrested after man, 60, assaulted on Lincoln High Street

Police cordon remains in place

Police investigating the assault of a 60-year-old man in Lincoln have arrested three local men.

The victim was rushed to hospital with a serious head injury, where he is currently receiving treatment.

The attack is believed to have happened on Lincoln High Street at around 2.30am on Thursday, February 1.

Police cordoned off an area surrounding the Lincoln Unitarian Chapel and neighbouring businesses on Lincoln High Street, at the junction with Monson Street.

A police guard remained on the scene at around 8.30am on Thursday, February 1.

Three local men have been arrested on suspicion on GBH in connection with the incident.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said: “We would like to hear from anyone who may have any information that might help the enquiry.

“Please call 101 quoting incident 22 of 01/02/2018.”
