Man set upon after punching taxi windscreen in Scunthorpe

The assault took place in the early hours of Sunday morning.

A man who punched the windscreen of a taxi in Scunthorpe was then attacked by two men in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The incident took place near the Spar convenience store on Old Brumby Street and was reported to police shortly after 4am on Sunday, March 25.

A man reportedly punched the windscreen of a taxi parked at Spar before two men, who had ordered the taxi to the store, assaulted him and left the scene.

The man was treated at Hull Royal Infirmary and released later the same day.

The men were both said to be Polish and were last seen at the junction of East Common Lane and Queensway, Humberside Police said.
