Noisy A180 to be silenced in £10m resurfacing project

Finally!

The troublesome and noisy A180 will be resurfaced by Highways England in a £10m upgrade project.

The current concrete covering the road is very noisy and annoys drivers and local residents with its constant rumbling and ear-splitting noise.

The ribbed concrete surface will be replaced from later this year after transport minister Jesse Norman revealed about the work due to take place over the next three years in a letter to Cleethorpes MP Martin Vickers.

The most urgent works on the road linking Grimsby to the M180 will be carried out in 2018/19 and should be finished by 2021.

The section between Croxton and Barnetby is set for resurfacing in 2019/20 and the Brocklesby to Great Coates eastbound stretch in 2020/21.
