Chestnut Homes has submitted a planning application to for 23 new homes off Skellingthorpe Road, to form the fourth phase of the LN6 development.
There are plans for 13 two-bedroomed semi-detached terraced houses and 10 three-bedroomed semi-detached detached houses at the former site of Usher School, on the former playing field in the southern part of Lincoln.
The latest application was submitted to the City of Lincoln Council as an extension of the phase three planning application and includes vehicular access from Westbrooke Place.
The proposal also includes a pedestrian link from the proposed development to Skellingthorpe Road.
The aim is to extend the adopted road into the proposed development with allocated parking in convenient and accessible locations for for residents and visitors.
Dedicated visitor spaces will be provided on site and parking spaces have been allocated – at least one space for two-bed dwellings and two for any three-bed homes.
The fourth phase is located immediately adjacent to phase three, which will provide access into the land.
The site has been allocated for residential development, but the city council wishes to retain the balance of the land for a school use at the present time.
LN6 Phase Three was submitted for full planning approval in February 2018 and is currently with the council for consideration.
