Who did this? Stacks of fridges and freezers dumped near Addlethorpe race stadium

Stacks of white goods were dumped on land near the race track.

Fly tippers piled a huge collection of fridges and freezers on land near to Skegness Stadium in Addlethorpe.

East Lindsey District Council has been monitoring incidents of illegally dumped waste in the area and officers are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.

In the latest incident, stacks of white goods were dumped near to the Addlethorpe race track, on the edge of farmland.

In the last year the council spent more than 10,000 hours clearing over 2,000 fly-tips.

Some landowners are also left with the responsibility of clearing dumped waste, as the council will not remove fly tips from private land.

ELDC said: “You are legally responsible for disposing of your rubbish correctly. If your rubbish is illegally deposited you could be fined up to £5,000.

“If someone else disposes of your rubbish for you, make sure you have their name, address, vehicle description and vehicle registration number. Any person that takes payment for removing your rubbish must be licensed. Always ask to see a copy of their licence.”
