Arrest over West Parade vandalism mayhem

“Reckless behaviour”

Yobs reportedly jumped from car to car and smashed wing mirrors along West Parade on bank holiday weekend, leading to at least one arrest.

Drivers on Fleet Street, Hewson Road, West Parade and Roseberry Avenue all reported damage to their vehicles after a night of ‘criminal damage and mayhem’.

The incidents happened while the cars were parked between 11pm and midnight on May 27.

A 16-year-old male has been arrested and released under investigation on suspicion of criminal damage and for possession of a controlled substance following the incident.

Darran Campbell took to the You’re Probably from Lincoln If Facebook group to vent his anger after he caught a group of young men in the act.

“To any parent whose sons went to a party on Fleet Street West Parade last night I hope you’re proud of the criminal damage and mayhem they have caused.” wrote Darran Campbell.

“I have two dents in the roof of my car thanks to their reckless behaviour.”

Lincolnshire Police are asking for any witnesses who may have seen anything to contact them on the non emergency number 101 or by email here quoting Incident 494 of May 27.
