A teenager’s injuries after an attack in the Burton Road area at the weekend were stab wounds, police believe.

Lincolnshire Police confirmed the attack is being treated as a possible stabbing after a 16-year-old male was found injured on Mons Road (Ermine West) in the early hours of Saturday, May 12.

The teenager was taken to hospital for treatment, although the multiple injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A scene guard was in place around a property on Burton Road until later on Saturday afternoon.

Eight people aged between 16 and 45 were arrested in connection with the incident.

They were questioned and have now been released under investigation.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said: “Officers investigating believe the injuries suffered by the 16-year-old to be stab wounds.

“The eight people arrested have been released under investigation.”
