Arrested man in hospital after St Giles attack

Man in hospital with head injuries.

Three men have been arrested after an assault on the St Giles estate in Lincoln.

One of the arrested men was rushed to hospital with a head injury after the attack on the morning of Friday, May 4.

Lincolnshire Police were called to Geneva Avenue at 8.18am.

Three men, aged 28, 25 and 31, were arrested on suspicion of affray and will be interviewed soon, police said.

The extent of the man’s injury is still being assessed.

Unconfirmed reports from a resident in the area suggested that a hammer was used in the attack.

Police were unable to comment further.
