One hospitalised after A15 car and truck crash

At least one person injured

A casualty has been rushed to hospital after a serious crash involving a car and a truck on the A15 north of Lincoln.

Ambulance crews received a call for help at 10.19am on Thursday, May 31.

The crash involved a red Kia Venga and a Renault articulated lorry.

The driver of the Kia was taken to hospital. Their condition is not known.

As reported previously, police, paramedics and other emergency services attended the scene and closed the road in both directions near to Spital-In-The-Street.

The road is closed in both directions from Caenby Corner.

Police said the road would be closed for between two and three hours.

An East Midlands Ambulance spokesperson said: “We received a call at 10.19am to an incident on the A15.

“The caller reported a road traffic collision involving a truck and a car.

“We sent a responder doctor, two paramedics in fast response cars, two double crewed ambulances and the Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire Air Ambulance medical car.

“One patient was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary for further care.”
