Plans for Sleaford retail park and retirement home

The bowling club facility would be moved into a new building

Supermarket giant Tesco has put forward plans to build a retail park and retirement home off Boston Road in Sleaford, as well as moving the town’s bowls club into a new facility.

According to the plans submitted to North Kesteven District Council, six retail units, a retirement home and a new bowls club are planned for the site near to the Boston Road recreation ground.

The plans have been submitted on behalf of Tesco, and will see the largely unused brownfield site replaced with a modern retail park and 450 car parking spaces.

The new bowls club would replace the existing Bristol Bowls club facility which would be removed to provide access to the site.

It is not believed that the site is a flood risk, or that it is an important wildlife habitat. Further tests will be carried out before building work begins to ensure that is the case.
