Red Arrows touch down at Lincolnshire Show

It was a rare chance for fans to meet the Red Arrows

RAF Red Arrows spend a lot of time doing spectacular manoeuvres in the sky, but they landed at the Lincolnshire Show to meet fans and sign autographs.

Fans of the aerobatic team had the rare chance to get up close to one of the Red Arrows aircrafts and meet all of the pilots.

Martin Pert, Squadron Leader of the Red Arrows, said it was a great chance to soak up the atmosphere and meet fans.

He said: “It’s great for us. Obviously, we’re airborne most of the time so don’t get to soak up the atmosphere and get some of the feedback.

“The theme of this year’s Lincolnshire Show is the RAF, which is celebrating the centenary and everything that’s gone before us. We are here to commemorate our history, but also to inspire these young ones that we’re meeting.”

Visitors at the Lincolnshire Show were also treated to a flypast and aerobatic performance.
