An air ambulance was sent to the Outer Circle Road area of Lincoln this morning.
Residents said they saw the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance land near to the Lidl supermarket and police were also in attendance.
A spokesperson for EMAS said: “We received a call at 10:51am to an incident at Bunkers Hill, Lincoln. The caller reported a patient who was unconscious and not breathing.
“We sent a paramedic in a fast reponse vehicle, a double crewed ambulance and the Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire Air Ambulance. One patient was taken to Lincoln County Hospital.”
The patient was taken by land ambulance.
A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police added: “It was reported to us at 10.59am, but it relates to a medical episode.”
Eyewitness Matt Radcliffe told The Lincolnite: “I saw the helicopter land in the field next to Lidl and the paramedics jumped out and ran to a police van.
“Two other cars joined them and all three drove off with lights on.”

Maps showed significant traffic delays in the area, though this is expected due to recent roadworks.
