Emergency crews including police and an air ambulance were called to the Leasingham bypass near Sleaford just before 7pm on Thursday, July 5.

A green Kawasaki motorcycle had crashed with a silver Vauxhall Vectra.

The motorbike rider, a man in his 50s from the Lincoln area, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His female passenger (details not known at this stage) was airlifted to Queen’s Medical Centre at Nottingham with serious injuries.

The road was re-opened just after 2am this morning.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said: “Anyone who was in the area and saw either the green Kawasaki motor cycle or the silver Vauxhall Vectra before the collision or saw the collision itself is asked to contact 101 and leave details.

“Any further information will be released as soon as we have it.”
