New Lincolnshire food festival coming to Lincoln

It’s set to be fun for all of the family

The Lincolnshire Showground is hosting the first Taste of Lincolnshire food festival on September 8 and 9.

There’ll be more than 100 food producers represented and the cookery demo in the Epic Centre will host big names like TV’s Dean Edwards, Molly Robbins from Extreme Cake makers and The Lincolnshire Chef Steve Bennett.

Molly Robbins from Extreme Cake makers will be making an appearance at the festival.

There’ll also be a chilli eating contest by the famous ‘Chilli Bob’ and a selection of traditional fairground rides, all topped off with a range of bars, artisan coffee stands plus food vendors.

Tipple lovers can try workshops with local gin makers PIN Gin, wine tasting classes by Ben from the Lincoln wine school and local wine producers Hanwell estate.

Children will be able to enjoy stage shows of ‘Peter Rabbit, a garden themed ‘Fun Village’ and a live performance from ‘Mr Bloom’.

Children’s TV presenter Mr Bloom will host a show at the event.

Tickets are free for under 15s, whilst adults can get in for £6 and parties of four can save with a £20 group ticket – parking is free.
