New NK Academy headteacher after departure

Neil Wilkinson-McKie did not stay for long with the school

Qualified languages teacher Jo Tunnicliffe will take up the reins as Head of North Kesteven Academy from September 1 after the departure of Neil Wilkinson-McKie.

Jo has worked at NK since 2007 and held a range of leadership posts, most recently as Deputy Headteacher.

She also completed the National Qualification for Headteachers, and said she was “delighted to be leading NK into the next exciting phase”.

Chairman of the Governors at NK Academy Martyn Taylor said: “Jo’s breadth of experience means that she is the right person to lead us to even greater success in the future.

“The next phase of our development is a very exciting time and we wish Jo every success in her new role.

“We would like to thank Neil Wilkinson-McKie for the contribution he has made to the academy as Headteacher over the last two years and we wish him every success for the future.”

Outgoing Head Neil Wilkinson-McKie said: “I would like to thank all pupils and staff for their hard work during my time as Headteacher and to wish the academy all the very best for the future.”
