Popular scooter show returns to the Brayford

Scoot to the waterfront

Scooter lovers rejoice! The annual charity scooter show returns to Lincoln’s Brayford this weekend.

Hundreds of members of the Lincoln Knights Scooter Club will be making their way to the city on Saturday, July 14, showing off their gleaming bikes along the waterfront.

The event will run from 10am until 5pm on Brayford Wharf North. There will also be a free open decks night in the Sports Bar at Holiday Inn from 7pm.

Last year the free event attracted over 400 visitors who came to admire the classic vehicles, browse the specialist stalls and listen to live music.

The event, in its seventh year, will once again be raising money for the Lincolnshire Integrated Voluntary Emergency Service (LIVES), in partnership with Holiday Inn Lincoln, Sports Bar Lincoln and Lincoln BIG (Business Improvement Group).

There will be a “Park & Pose” in which the best scooters will win trophies, trade stalls, an afternoon ride out around the city, live music from The Interceptors and more.

Organiser and scooter enthusiast, Dave Walker, said: “We are once again excited to be organising Scoot to the Waterfront this year, the seventh time we’ve held the event. In previous years we’ve had almost 500 scooters turn up to show the general public what Scootering is all about.

“We’re proud to be raising money again for LIVES and having a good time doing it! We have live music, stalls, a short ride out through the city and hopefully Scooters Galore! We just pray for nice weather!”
