Drugs, cash and a crossbow seized in Scunthorpe raid

Four people arrested

Four people were arrested after a number of items including drugs and a crossbow were seized at a raid in Scunthorpe.

Two men and one woman were arrested on suspicion of possessing a class A drug with intent to supply and possession of a firearm after the raid at a property on Canterbury Close on Friday, August 10.

A second woman was arrested on suspicion of supplying a controlled drug and possession of a firearm after the raid, which uncovered a quantity of drugs, cash, suspected stolen property and a crossbow.

The four people arrested under the Misuse of Drugs Act have all been released under investigation and further enquiries are ongoing, police said.

Humberside Police were unable to confirm the exact amount or value of the items stolen.

Inspector Paul French from Scunthorpe Community Team said: “This is an excellent piece of work which demonstrates our continued hard work and commitment to tackling the supply of drugs in Scunthorpe.

“We are acting on the information given to us from our local communities, and we want them to keep providing that information so we can achieve more successes like this.”
