Large building fire in Bracebridge Heath

A fire investigation officer has been requested

Emergency services rushed to the scene of a large fire in Bracebridge Heath on Wednesday afternoon.

The incident on Ridgeview Road was reported to Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue at 1.57pm on Wednesday, August 15 and nine crews were sent to the scene.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue told The Lincolnite: “There has been a domestic building fire in the roof space on Ridgeview Road.

“There is no report of anyone trapped so no rescues have been needed.

“Fire and Rescue have put in a request for a fire investigation officer.”

An eyewitness said: “I saw plumes of black smoke covering the air and a crowd of onlookers. There were lots of fire engine and police and I saw an ambulance, but I’m not sure if it was needed.”

Another eyewitness said on social media: “Sirens galore. Believed to be at the old hall and studio. Could see the flames as I drove along Newark Road en route.”
