Last chance to nominate NK Community Champions

Not long to get your nominations in

It’s not too late to nominate your local hero in the 2018 NK Community Champion awards.

The awards highlight the work of people making a difference in the North Kesteven community. They may have set up a community group, kept their village clean and tidy or helped a neighbour get out and about. If you feel they’ve gone the extra mile then you can show your appreciation with a nomination.

The 2018 NK Community Champion awards are produced in association with 14 local sponsors – including The Lincolnite.

Last year’s winner for the Health & Wellbeing category, Amelia Bailey said; “Winning the NKDC Community Champion Award for my contribution to health and wellbeing was fantastic acknowledgement of the voluntary work that I do. It instilled a sense of pride to be part of a region that appreciates and values its community members.

“I was and still am absolutely overjoyed to have won and through winning, it has given my voluntary work extra credibility having been recognised by NKDC.

“One aspect that is particularly great about NK acknowledging people in the community is that it informs the public of the incredible things individuals or groups are doing and this inspires others. It in turn building a stronger sense of community and it’s inspiring to others.”

You have until August 17 to nominate anyone living, working and carrying out their voluntary community work within North Kesteven via the website or by downloading the form.

Should your nominee make it to the finals, both of you will be invited to an awards evening in Autumn.
