Lincolnshire mumpreneur going on The Apprentice

She has two businesses already

A Lincolnshire business owner is among the candidates ready to be grilled by Lord Alan Sugar in the new series of The Apprentice.

Sixteen budding entrepreneurs will be put through their paces by Lord Sugar before being scrutinised in the boardroom by the host and his trusted advisors Baroness Karren Brady and Claude Littner.

Khadija Kalifa, 28, is the owner of Beaux Bebes Boutique Limited based in Bourne which launched in 2015.

She also launched eco cleaning company Opal & Pearl Ltd the same year, which was previously based in Bourne before moving to Allia Future Business Centre in Peterborough last month.

Khadija considers her people skills to be her best business asset and she looks up to Richard Branson for ‘his success and willingness to assist others’.

She plans to be likeable but focused, although she says she can be cut-throat when required.

She said: “Whatever I say I’m going to make happen happens. I’m a serious mumpreneur who doesn’t have time for time wasters and idiocy.”

This year Lord Sugar will be sending the candidates straight off to Malta, tasked with buying nine items at the lowest possible prices.
