Fire breaks out at Lincoln prison

Fire engines could be seen rushing to the scene

Fire crews rushed to the scene after they recieved reports that a blaze had been started in a cell at Lincoln Prison.

Emergency services were called at 11:49am on Thursday, October 11 to reports of a fire at HM Prison Lincoln on Greetwell Road.

Nobody has been injured in the incident and the fire has since been put out by Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue crews.

Fire investigation officers have been requested to determine the cause of the fire.
