Immingham homes and businesses lose water

Anglian Water are working on the issue

Update: All water supplies are now back to normal

Customers in Immingham are experiencing low water pressure or no water at all on Wednesday morning.

Anglian Water said they are aware of reports of a loss of supply in the area and are working hard to identify the cause so they can get the supply back to normal as soon as possible.

Anglian Water, who are now on site in the area, said: “Our systems indicate that this could be caused by a leak in the area, so if you’ve spotted a leak that we may not be aware of please call us on 03457 145 145 to report that.

“
After interruption to the water supply it may look a little cloudy or discoloured when it’s back on. Just run your tap for a few minutes and it should clear.”

An Anglian Water spokesperson said: “We’re sorry some customers in Immingham may have been without water for a short amount of time this morning while our teams repaired a valve on a section of pipe.

“All water supplies are now back to normal, although some customers in the area may notice their water is slightly cloudy or discoloured now supply has been restored. This is harmless and caused by a combination of millions of tiny air bubbles. In the meantime, if you leave the water to clear in a glass or run your tap for a bit it will soon disappear.”
