Lincoln to host TEDxWomen event

Here’s what to expect

TEDxBrayfordPool, the fastest growing TEDx programme in the UK and based in Lincoln, has been selected to link up with the global TEDWomen conference.

TEDxBrayfordPoolWomen will be curated by TEDxBrayfordPool speakers Ruchi Aggarwal and Sue Liburd MBE, and TEDxBrayfordPoolSalon Curator Heidi de Wolf.

The event on December 4 2018 at the University of Lincoln campus will feature screenings from the global TEDWomen conference and four live speakers around the theme ‘Showing Up’.

Guests can expect inspiring stories about how women are no longer accepting the status quo. “They’re rising up, breaking out and pushing boundaries”, say organisers.

TEDWomen & TEDxBrayfordPoolWomen will celebrate how these dynamic and diverse people are showing up to face challenges head on, all while empowering each other to shape the future we all want to see. We’re showing up for TEDWomen 2018. Are you?

Co-Curator Heidi de Wolf said: “We’ve already secured three fantastic speakers and would like to invite applications for our very own “fourth plinth”. We are particularly interested in applicants who can have something that’s new and surprising around the theme of “Showing Up.”

Applications close on Wednesday, October 24 and the line-up will be announced on Monday, November 5.

Tickets will go on sale Monday,  November 5 from Lincoln Performing Arts Centre in person, via phone 01522 837600 or online here.
