Lincoln universities to clash in annual football match

Back your side in the Cathedral Cup

Lincoln’s two universities are set to battle it out on the pitch for the fourth annual Cathedral Cup.

Players from the University of Lincoln (UoL) and Bishop Grosseteste University (BGU) are gearing up to clash under the floodlights of Sincil Bank.

Gates open on Thursday night at 6:45pm ahead of kick off at 7:45pm, before the two sides play for bragging rights.

At last year’s meeting, the UoL snuffed out the competition with a comprehensive 5 – 1 win over BGU.

Imps season ticket holders can attend the fixture for free, while adult tickets are being sold for £4 and under 18s can get in for £2.

Fans of BGU will be in the Selenity Stand, while fans of UoL are going to be in the Stacey West Stand.
