The road has been closed

A female bike rider has been injured after a crash between a motorbike and a car in the Ermine area of Lincoln.

Police were called to the crash on Ruckland Avenue at 1.48pm on Wednesday, November 28 and the injuries of the bike rider are being assessed at the time of writing.

The road has also been closed.

An eyewitness contacted The Lincolnite saying someone is laid in the road on Ruckland Avenue on the Ermine West and police and ambulance are at the scene.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “At 13.48 we received a report of a collision between a motorbike and a Vauxhall Corsa. This happened in Ruckland Avenue in Lincoln near the junction of Chatterton Avenue.

“The road has been closed. The rider of the bike, a woman, has been injured and her injuries are being assessed.”

A spokesperson for EMAS said: “We received a call at 1.52pm on November 28 to Wickenby Crescent in Lincoln. The caller reported that there had been a road traffic collision between a car and a motorbike.

“We sent a LIVES Community First Responder and a crewed ambulance and are currently still on scene.”
