Delays after Birchwood crash

The extent of any injuries is not yet known

A crash is causing delays on Birchwood Avenue in Lincoln this morning.

Police were called to the collision between two vehicles near to the Birchwood Shopping Centre at 10.32am on Tuesday, November 20.

According to a post on social media, one lane is closed near to the centre entrance.

Police have since confirmed that the road is closed between Jasmin Road and Aldergrove Crescent, with people being advised to avoid the area.

One patient was taken to Queens Medical Centre.

A spokesperson for EMAS said: “We received a call at 10.27am to an incident outside the Birchwood Shopping Centre in Lincoln. The caller reported a road traffic collision involving two vehicles.

“We currently have a double crewed ambulance on scene.”
