Get ready for deer-ly loved Christmas parade

I sleigh, this should be fun!

The festive spirit is in full flow in Lincoln and, after three Christmas light switch-ons, the attention now turns to this week’s reindeer parade.

Crowds will gather as a parade of festive reindeer, led by Santa Claus and his sleigh from St Marks Shopping Centre, makes its way across the High Street before finishing at City Square on Thursday, November 29.

The Reindeer Display runs from 2pm-4pm before the parade gets underway at 6pm.

There will also be a chance to meet Santa to let him know what’s on your Christmas list this year. You can also get a photo taken with the reindeer and Santa at the post-parade display on City Square.

The reindeer are from the only herd of reindeer in Britain and will be travelling from Cairngorms in Scotland. Their parades and appearances in the festive season help to fund their care through the rest of the year.

As previously reported, camels will lead a herd of visitors through Lincoln to tell the Christmas story next month.

Three camels will be in Lincoln on December 13 just in time to add an extra twist to Lincoln BIG’s traditional Lantern Parade and Carol Service.
