Loake traditional shoe store opening Monday

The Loake Official Factory Outlet will open on Monday, selling high quality end of line shoes with a discount of up to 40%.

The Lincolnshire-based family footwear brand North Shoes will celebrate the opening of its fourth shop in seven years at 2-4 Clasketgate.

It’s the first Loake Official Factory Outlet in the country.

James North, the fifth generation at the helm of the Bourne-based family business which started in 1876, said: “It’s a natural fit for us.

“The business has expanded to the south and west, so coming north to Lincoln, a vibrant city I’ve always loved, was the perfect thing to do.

“A high street presence gives us something the internet cannot offer – somewhere for customers to come in, try on good quality English footwear and have them properly fitted by qualified staff.”

It will be headed up by North Shoes store manager James Jackson and has created three other vacancies, all filled by students from the University of Lincoln.

It will be open seven days a week – 10am-5pm, Monday to Saturday, and 11am-4pm on Sundays.
