They want to build new homes on the site
The owners of a nearly 25-year-old printing business and former village pub have applied to demolish their building to make way for housing in Sibsey.
Agent Terry Sykes, on behalf of Print Labels, on The Old Main Road, has told East Lindsey District Council that the business is set to leave the address.
The application is asking for outline permission to build up to eight houses on the site.
Print Labels has been operating for nearly 23-24 years from the building which used to hold the Peacock Inn.
In documents before the district council Mr Sykes writes: “With the site presently becoming redundant to its present use and with it being centrally located within the village, surrounded by dwellings and close to the existing primary school it is proposed that this site would be suited to accommodating small to medium-sized family dwellings.”
The documents go on to explain that the houses would be two-storey and would feature private rear gardens and parking spaces.
Mr Sykes notes there would be a corner of landscaped area as part of the development.
