Police arrest rapist after prison escape

Wayne Jones is now in custody

Police officers have arrested a rapist after he absconded from an open prison in Lincolnshire.

Wayne Jones, 39, absconded from HMP North Sea Camp near Boston on Sunday evening, November 25. He was serving a life sentence for rape.

Superintendent Paul Timmins tweeted: “We’ve just located him and he is in custody. Great work by our response and road policing teams.”

Earlier today, Lincolnshire Police were warning the public to not approach Jones after he absconded from prison.
