Young man dies after A52 crash

There were five casualties in total

A man in his 20s has died and four others are seriously injured after a serious crash on the B1391 near the junction with the A52 this morning.

As previously reported, the crash involved a white lorry and a silver Toyota Corolla in the early hours of Wednesday, November 7.

Police confirmed this afternoon that a man in his 20s died as a result of his injuries.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police previously said: “This happened just after 6.30am and we are looking to speak with the driver of a white or light coloured Transit van who we believe may have witnessed what happened.

“This vehicle had the numbers ‘07’ on its back door and was not involved in the collision.”

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue confirmed that three appliances from Donington, Bourne and Kirton attended the incident along with a support unit.

The spokesperson said a land ambulance and helicopter ambulance from the coastguard was used to transport some of the patients.

Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue were involved in getting people out of the car with support from police and ambulance staff.
