Experience the new Lincoln Christmas Emporium

It’s something completely new for the city

A new week-long Lincoln Christmas market is underway, so we went to sample all of its festive delights.

The Christmas Emporium has launched in the castle grounds, complete with great food, drinks and gifts.

It’s a new experience for the city, with a spectacular projection show and light trails across the walls.

Visitors can go from 4pm on Saturday, December 15 and the Emporium will run until the following Saturday, December 22.

Tickets cost £7.50 for adults, £6.50 for concessions, £5 for children, with family tickets available for £20 – click here to book tickets.

Each ticket holder can visit the event as many times as they like over the eight days. Anyone with an annual pass can access the market for free.

The light display entitled ‘Marking Time’ is inspired by the movement of Victorian timepieces.

We have also compiled a list of the locally-sourced food and drinks on offer at the market, including a cozy tipi bar to put your feet up.

The emporium offer visitors a varied shopping experience – here’s a flavour of some of the exciting traders you’ll be able to find at the event.

The tipi bar will offer festive winter cocktails including Winter Spice, Nutcracker and Greenhouse Pine.

There will also be three gin twists – strawberry and basil, raspberry and peppercorn and apple and cinnamon.

Father Christmas is at Lincoln Castle, where he is looking forward to hearing your festive wishes. Our wish was for him to welcome people to the Christmas Emporium.
